Release date: July 23, 2024

Overview

In Release 66, we've introduced a number of new features and improvements to the existing ones:

  • Shared storage for research projects
  • Document selection for chat
  • Document summary for knowledge models
  • References to articles in Explorer
  • More hardware configurations

What's new

Shared storage for research projects

Shared storage is now available to all researchers in their projects. Any project user has full access to this shared storage and can write to it programmatically or upload files manually. This provides a convenient way to store and share files, such as datasets or computation results, across all desks in the project.

Document selection for chat

Users chatting with a knowledge model can now select among sources provided by the model to continue the conversation. After the model responds with several sources, users can select specific sources to focus on so that future responses are limited to the selected documents. This feature helps users better focus their interactions with the knowledge model and receive more precise responses.

Document summary for knowledge models

Summaries are now auto-generated for documents uploaded to knowledge models. Users can view these summaries while browsing, which allows them to quickly navigate knowledge model content without needing to open the full document to understand its content.

References to articles in Explorer

When using the Explorer extension, each generated formalism will now display links to the research papers used to generate it. This provides better grounding for the generated content and allows researchers to explore suggested research directions with more reliability.

More hardware configurations

The list of available hardware configurations for research projects has been expanded to include two powerful setups:

  • 30 CPUs and 124 GB of RAM
  • 28 CPUs, 294 GB of RAM, and 2xA100 GPUs

These configurations enable researchers to perform more complex computations.
