More tips on using Calcularis
Focus on the following while your child learns
- Explain to your child how to play, but avoid solving tasks for them. Doing so may distort the learning results. Calcularis could assume your child already possesses the necessary skills and prematurely advance them to the next level.
- To display an exercise without affecting progress, use the Trial mode.
Tips to explain the learning process
- Access the learning progress through the menu My Progress in Calcularis or Overview in Coach. These representations differ significantly:
- My Progress shows your child’s improvement relative to their past performance.
- Overview displays absolute progress through numerical data and skill levels.
- Medals are awarded on the sticker sheet after every 20-minute training session and each completed module. This visual success tracker boosts motivation and builds your child’s self-confidence.
Tips for configuring Coach settings
- Deactivate multiplication and division if your child hasn’t learned them yet. You can do this in Settings and reactivate the training when your child is ready.
- Update user data, such as passwords, first names, or last names, for your child or parent accounts in the Administration section.
- Receive progress updates via email. Certificates and reports can be sent to you automatically at regular intervals. Configure this in the Administration section.
