To access and start Constructor Practice Science Experiments:
In the Learner view, click the menu icon in the upper-left corner.
Go to My courses.
Select the laboratory you want to access.
Click Start. You will be directed to the Content Page, which lists all experiments within the selected laboratory.
To read general information about the lab, click About in the left corner.
There, you can view the lab description, learning outcomes, experiment manual, and grading details.
To return to the experiment list, click Continue or Content in the left corner.
Select the experiment you wish to start.
A short description and a Start button will appear.
To view the experiment manual, click Open, or download it to your device.
The experiment manual includes:
Subject and name of the experiment
Estimated experiment completion time
Learning outcomes of the experiment
Theoretical background
Required tools and equipment
Experimental procedure
Tables
Results and Discussion
Post-Laboratory Evaluation
References
Scroll down the experiment page to view the panel. It shows your lab Status, Remaining attempts, and Minimum passing score.
Click Start to begin.
Select your preferred language for the experiment.
Once inside the virtual lab, listen to Amy, the virtual instructor, and follow her guidance.
Before starting the practical part:
Take the tablet located on the left of the bench within the laboratory and read the Theory and Experiment Procedure sections.
To return the tablet to the desk, right-click the mouse (or double-click on your trackpad).
Fill in the data tables as you complete the experiment.
This is essential for understanding the topic and ensuring your results are saved correctly.
Click the Save Data button to submit your results.
IMPORTANT: All Enter the value fields must be completed for the experiment to be graded. Empty fields cannot be graded.
To exit, locate any door and press the Exit Experiment button. You will be redirected back to Labs (My Courses) in Learn.
In the experiment panel, the experiment status will be updated:
In Progress: Appears if you exited the experiment without clicking Save Data on the tablet. You can restart the experiment by pressing Continue.
In Grading: Appears after you click Save Data on the tablet. The experiment is now ready for instructor grading.
Completed: Appears once the instructor grades your submission.
If multiple attempts are allowed, learners can repeat and submit as many times as permitted, after the instructor completes grading of the previous submission.
