Generating quizzes with AI
Before you start generating a quiz with Artificial Intelligence, prepare the materials on which you want to base the quiz: for example, your lectures or other learning materinals.
To generate a quiz with AI:
- Go to Quizzes.
- Click Generate quiz with AI.
- Specify the initial data:
- Title — the title for your quiz.
- Instructions — a prompt for AI about how to generate a quiz. The more precise the information, the better the generated quiz will meet the required conditions.
- Add files to generate content — select PDF or TXT files with the source materials for the quiz.
- Types of questions to include — select which types of questions you want to use in the quiz:
- Multiple answerquestions in which a learner selects more than one correct option from a list of given answers. Such questions are automatically assessed after learners submit their answers.
- True/false questions in which a learner specifies whether the answer is true or false.
- Matching questions in which a learner matches pairs of statements. Such questions are automatically assessed after learners submit their answers.
- Free format response questions in which a learner enters a long text (for example, an essay or a page with a solution to a problem). Such questions do not have given answers and require manual assessment by an instructor or teaching assistant.
- Multiple choice questions in which a learner selects one correct option from a list of given answers. Such questions are automatically assessed after learners submit their answers.
- Short answerquestions in which a learner enters a short text (for example, a number, or a particular word or phrase). Such questions are also automatically assessed. After learners submit their answers, answers are compared against the correct values stored in the application database.
- Ordering questions in which a learner places provided answers in the correct order. Such questions are automatically assessed after learners submit their answers.
- Number of questions — how many questions you want to include in the quiz.
- Click Generate. Wait till the quiz is generated and review the questions.
After you approved the contents of the generated quiz, proceed with configuring the quiz settings.
