Overview

In this release, we’ve introduced a powerful integration with the Canvas LMS and added intelligent new features, including AI-powered question generation. We’ve also enhanced the user experience with more consistent notifications, clearer Join screen information, and numerous stability improvements.

What's new

Canvas LMS integration

Institutions can now connect their Canvas environment for a seamless user experience. This initial release includes:

  • Calendar synchronization – sessions created in our platform are automatically added to the relevant Canvas course calendar. Any updates to the session time or date are also synced.
  • User and enrollment synchronization – users and enrollments are automatically synchronized from Canvas courses, ensuring participant lists are always up to date.

AI-powered question generation

Instructors can now use AI to automatically generate relevant questions for participants during the session preparation phase to foster engagement. This feature is available to all customers.

Subdomain access for cloud accounts

Organizations using our Constructor Cloud solution can now access the platform via their own dedicated subdomains.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

  • Consistent on-page notifications: All platform notifications now share the same modern design as the rest of the dashboard, creating a more unified look and feel.
  • Session name on join screen: The session name is now clearly displayed on the participant join screen to help avoid confusion.
  • Smarter muted notifications: Muted microphone and camera notifications no longer reappear if the user has already seen them and chosen to remain muted.
  • Profile language synchronization: The selected language preference in a user profile is now correctly applied across the platform.
  • Clearer error messages: Several error messages have been revised to be more understandable and helpful.

Fixes

We’ve made the following fixes:

  • Fixed a critical issue preventing instructors using LTI integration from changing the start time after editing a session.
  • Resolved a bug where participants would lose permissions after refreshing the page, requiring them to rejoin.
  • Addressed a problem preventing some participants from successfully joining sessions.
  • Fixed errors occurring when deleting or editing breakout rooms.
  • Corrected an issue preventing file uploads within an LTI window.
  • Improved session synchronization stability by fixing errors and data inconsistencies.
  • Resolved failures in video file conversions for on-premise customer accounts.
  • Corrected the logo display on the Invalid participant code page.
