What's new
Attendance-based grading in Canvas gradebook
Learner attendance data for a session can now be automatically sent from the platform to a Canvas course gradebook. The platform reports attendance as a grade, streamlining grading workflows.
Improvements and fixes
Improvements
- Enhanced background task performance**😗* We re-architected background jobs (such as video processing and report generation) to improve performance and reliability.
- Improved user management**😗* We optimized the syncing and management of new users to enable immediate session access without delay.
- Better user form validation**😗* We added stricter validation to user creation and editing forms to reduce errors.
- Localization updates: We corrected various texts and labels across the platform for better translation quality.
Fixes
We’ve made the following fixes:
- Fixed a critical bug that caused sessions to appear multiple times on a user’s calendar in Canvas LMS.
- Resolved an issue where only one user’s grade was pushed to the Canvas gradebook; all grades are now synced properly.
- Fixed a bug that caused instability when using the breakout rooms feature.
- Corrected a problem that prevented newly created users from joining sessions until a background sync was completed in Canvas LMS. Users can now join immediately.
- Addressed several potential errors in the external API to improve stability for integrated services.
