Creating a lab teaching to use a software

To create a virtual lab:

  1. In the LMS management portal, click in the upper-left corner.
  2. Go to Authoring > Labs.
  3. Click the add icon . You are redirected to the virtual labs interface.
  4. Select the type: Software.
  5. Specify the following parameters:
  • Lab name — the lab name
  • Previous lab —  if the lab you are creating belongs to a series of labs that learners must pass sequentially, select a lab that precedes this lab.
  • Lab description — a short description of what the lab teaches.
  • Labels — labels to mark the lab. They will be used for filtering when searching a lab in the lab list.
  • Upload cover image — select an image to use as the lab cover.
  1. Click the arrow in the lower right corner of the wizard.
  2. Select the environment type:
  • Virtual Environment — a  full operating system running on virtual hardware for complete system simulation.
  • Web Environment — a browser-based environment for running applications or code without local installation.
  • Container Environment — a lightweight, isolated environment for running applications and their dependencies consistently.
