Overview
In this release, we have significantly improved the functionality of our web application by adding checks for static images and the use of virtual cameras during the system check. We have also improved the user experience of live proctors chatting with learners in real time.
What’s new
We’ve made the following improvements in the learner web app:
Static image detection from webcam
We’ve added a check to detect whether the webcam image is static during the connection and camera operability test. If a static image is detected, the learner will be blocked from proceeding to the exam.
Virtual camera usage detection
At the webcam connection stage, we added an additional check to determine whether the connected camera is physical or virtual. The use of virtual cameras for testing is prohibited, so access to the exam will be restricted until the learner connects a physical camera.
Chat improvements in Live Proctor interface
We’ve made the following improvements in Live Proctor chat:
Quick message library expansion
We’ve extended the library of predefined messages used by proctors to support required checks and make communication with learners during live sessions faster and more efficient.
Search functionality for quick messages
Proctors can now search through quick messages using a search bar in the quick messages tab. Additionally, quick messages can be searched directly from the typing field using the slash (‘/’) symbol.
