Getting started with knowledge models

For a quick start with knowledge models, follow these steps:

1. Create a Constructor Research account in one of the following ways:
   • Register with your email
   • Use an existing identity provider account (Google, Facebook, or Microsoft)

Note: By registering an account, you get access to both products: Constructor Model and Constructor Research.

2. Log in to your Constructor Research account and take the onboarding tour.
   
3. Go to Knowledge models > My models (1 in the screenshot), click + New model (2) and create your first knowledge model. See Creating knowledge models for the details.
   
4. Open your knowledge model chat and in the Engine field, select the large language model (LLM) engine you prefer. You can start chatting now.
   

In the Chat with field, you can select either:

• Knowledge model only to chat only with the current model and documents uploaded to it. In this case, make sure you've uploaded the source data to your model beforehand.
• LLM engine only to chat directly with the LLM without using any of the documents uploaded to the model.
  

To upload the source data for the Knowledge model only option, go to the Data tab and upload files with the source data for your model. See Creating knowledge models for the details.
