Adding content libraries

To add a content library into your Constructor LMS instance:

  1. In the LMS management portal, click in the upper-left corner.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. In the Learning section, click Content libraries and providers.
  4. Click the add icon .
  5. Specify these parameters:
  • Name — the content library name.

  • Type — select the resource type for content in the library:

  • LTI 1.1 — resources interacting with Constructor Learn in the format Learning Tools Interoperability version 1.1.

  • LTI 1.3 — resources interacting with Constructor Learn in the format Learning Tools Interoperability version 1.3.

  • PublicFile — resources as files available to everyone.

  • PrivateFile — resources as files available to users who have access to them.

  • RichText — resources in the rich text format.

  • URL — URL of the API endpoint that provides the list of resources of the content library.

  • Action API URL — URL of the API endpoint that provides the list of actions for the content library.

  • Consumer key — Consumer Key for the LTI 1.1 authentication.

  • Secret key — Secret Key for the LTI 1.1 authentication.

  • User — username (login) for the API authentication.

  • Password — password for the API authentication.

  • Image URL — URL of the image for the content library logo.

  • Auth URL — URL of the authentication server (if a third-party authentication is used, for example, OAuth 2.0).

  • Tool Auth URL — URL of the LTI 1.3 authorization endpoint.

Enable, if required, the following settings:

  • Support Review — to enable users to review activities based on resources from this library after passing them.
  • Support Mobile View — to enable supporting the mobile device format.
  • Support Fullscreen View — to enable supporting the full screen format.
  • Support LTI Grading — to enable passing grades for LTI activities to LMS.
  • Support LTI Authoring — to enable authoring LTI activities.
  • Allow Publishing — to allow authors to publish activities based on resources from this library.
  • Allow Editing — to allow authors to edit activities based on resources from this library.
  1. Click Save. The library will be added to the list of available libraries. Content of the specified type can be used for courses creation.
