Managing content libraries

In Constructor LMS, content is created from resources of various types. Content is stored in specific libraries, each for a particular type of resources.

By default, the following content libraries are pre-configured in the system:

  • Assessment — libraries containing quizzes to assess learners' assignments and exams.
  • CodingLabs — libraries containing labs in virtual environments to teach learners various programming languages.
  • Composite — libraries that allow authors to compile content units into course units, modules, or entire courses.
  • JupyterLabs — libraries containing labs that use Jupyter Notebook to teach learners programming languages.
  • Interactive Component — libraries containing files that comply with Sharable Content Object Reference Model.
  • Online Сlass — libraries containing templates for real-time online classes that are added into courses as online sessions scheduled on particular dates at a particular time.
  • RichText — libraries containing files in the Rich Text format.
  • STEM — libraries containing science, technology, engineering and mathematics components typically with a lot of formulas and in the HTML format.
  • Vimeo — libraries containing videos transferred from the Vimeo video service account.
  • VirtualLabs — libraries containing labs in virtual environments to teach learners how to use software.

In addition to the default libraries, you can add custom libraries, see Adding content libraries.
