Enrolling groups of learners

To enroll groups of learners to a course (which can be a separate assignment or entire course):

  1. In the LMS management portal, click in the upper-left corner.
  2. Go to Teaching > Courses.

  1. In the courses list, double-click the required course to start editing.
  2. In the leftmost bar, click the users icon.

  1. Switch to the Groups tab.
  2. Click Add group enrollment.
  3. Select a group (or groups) of users whom you need to enroll for the course.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Specify the course details:
  • Terms — specify the term (typically, a semester or quarter) in which this course should be taken by learners.
  • Availability — specify the period when the course is available to the enrolled learners for starting.
  • Due date — select the date by which learners should complete the course.
InformationThe Due date and Availability date settings can be used to configure the exam duration for timed exams as an alternative to specifying the exam quiz duration (Quiz duration in minutes in the quiz settings). If both settings are specified, the shortest duration applies to the exam.

Results visibility to learners

Select how to reveal the course scores and grades to learners:

  • Never show — to permanently hide scores and grades from learners. No details will be revealed to learners.
  • Show after completion — to reveal scores and grades to learners immediately after a course (or a program) is completed and graded (automatically or manually).
  • Show after date — to reveal scores and grades after a particular date. Specify the required date in the field below.

Additional settings

  • Mandatory — check the box if the course completion is obligatory for the staff from the unit. In this case the course will be added to the list of courses the unit learners are enrolled in.

If you want to make the course optional, leave this checkbox clear.

  • Can be retaken — check the box if the course can be taken more than one time.
  • Shown in catalog — check the box if you want to make the course available for learners' self-enrollment. The course will be added to the list of courses that are available for the learners in Catalog and they will be able to enroll in this course themselves.
InformationIf you leave the Mandatory and Shown in catalog check boxes clear, the course will be available to learners for self-enrollment if sent by a direct link.
  1. Click Add. The persons from the selected groups are enrolled for the course.
