Release 108

Overview

In Release 108, we introduced filters on the My courses and Catalog pages. Users can now easily find the courses they need at any given moment.

We’ve also been developing various backend tasks required for group assignments, which will be rolled out in our upcoming releases.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

  • We have introduced filters on the My courses page that allow learners to filter courses by these criteria:
    • Completion status (Not started, In progress, or Completed)
    • Priority (mandatory or optional courses from the Self-enrollment catalog)
    • Term (in tenants, where terms are set up)

This helps reduce clutter on the My Courses page and allows learners to focus on the courses they need to complete. Multiple filters can be applied simultaneously, with a clear indication of the current filters, and all selections are saved between sessions.

  • The UI of activity cards has been improved. We now display the best attempt on a card, and all attempts list includes the latest one.

Fixes

We've implemented the following fixes:

  • Eliminated scenarios where an XSS attack could be conducted using a link to a PDF file from the course description.
  • Added a message about duplicated content category names when validating category names for uniqueness.
  • Added a message notifying a user on creating a learning activity if the activity code matches an existing one.
  • Corrected the validation message behavior when deleting table rows in grading scales.
  • Added a message prompting users to log in when accessing files from the course description in the open course catalog.
  • Child activities and compositions will no longer be accessible if the parent composition is in the Draft status.
  • The Certificate template preview now returns the user to the location where the preview was opened: either the template list, certificate properties, or certificate editor.

Known issues

  • Sizes of attached files are shown only for newly-uploaded files.
  • A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.
  • New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
  • The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.
  • When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
  • External links to cover images cannot be edited.
  • Error 401 occurs after an upload of a SCORM package is canceled and the second upload attempt is initiated. The page refresh is necessary to initiate the upload.
  • Settings applied for a specific SCORM version are not appropriately distinguished.
  • The “Not found” text is displayed when a learner attempts to start a quiz with a due date in the past.
  • The Customize Default View setting does not apply to the Collections filter.
  • Saving the default view doesn’t work when creating a new custom report.
