Release 117

Overview

In Release 117, we've addressed various bugs and implemented key improvements. The highlights include new methods for importing content from Docebo LMS, syncing users and organizational structures with Salesforce, and several behind-the-scenes enhancements. These include refining collaborative assignment workflows, adding support for instructor dashboards, introducing new reporting capabilities, and laying the groundwork for AI-driven features with knowledge model management. These updates set the stage for delivering even more powerful features in future releases.

Improvements

Revealing grades and scores for learners

We’ve added two new options to the scheduling interface for instructors that enable restrictions on displaying scores and reviewing submitted assignments. With these restrictions, learners cannot view their scores or submissions for specific assignments. Additionally, we’re developing a feature to display scores while hiding quiz feedback if the score falls below a set threshold, planned for the next update.

Attachments on the About page of courses

We’ve implemented a public storage solution for content on the About page of a course. Instructors and authors can now add objectives and file attachments (PDFs and others) accessible to non-authorized users viewing the page in the open catalog. Future updates will enhance this feature by restricting access to these files through direct links when the About page is unavailable to non-authorized users.

Branding for dashboards

Branding capabilities have been introduced for the learner and instructor dashboards. These updates allow the dashboards to align with the color schemes and styles of specific tenants, ensuring a consistent and customized user experience.

AI Tutor introduction

Knowledge models can now be linked to specific objectives in the back end. This enhancement prepares the system for the upcoming AI Tutor widget, which will enable learners to ask questions and receive answers about course content in future releases.

Fixes

We've made the following fixes:

  • Scheduling rules: Scheduling rules now correctly apply to child compositions.
  • Gated activities: Gated activities within a child one-page composition are now restricted until the previous activity is passed.
  • Course access for non-authorized users: Courses with PDF handouts on the course description page now open correctly for non-authorized users, and the file size of uploaded handouts is displayed accurately.
  • Private storag****e: Images and files in media block activities are now correctly stored in the private storage.
  • Duplicate media blocks: Courses containing duplicate media block activities within a single composition now load without errors.
  • Workflow status updates: The course workflow now updates correctly from In Progress to Completed after all submissions are made.
  • Security vulnerability: A cross-site scripting vulnerability in redirect URL parameters has been fixed.
  • Media block issues: Issues with toggle blocks within media-block activities in a one-page composition have been resolved. Controls for adding blocks in media-block activities are now consistently displayed on the left. Long code is now wrapped correctly within the code block.
  • Score rounding: Score rounding inaccuracies for certificates and email notifications have been corrected.
  • Certificate template editor: Tooltips for icons in the certificate template editor have been fixed.
  • Video re-upload: An issue where canceling a video during re-uploading resulted in no video being available for learners has been resolved.

Known issues

  • When instructors select Show answers when score is reached and Allow review for an assignment, the score is not shown, but the quiz feedback is.
  • The grace period is not applied to child compositions within other child compositions.
  • Sizes of attached files are shown only for newly-uploaded files.
  • A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.
  • New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
  • The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.
  • When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
  • External links to cover images cannot be edited.
  • Error 401 occurs after an upload of a SCORM package is canceled and the second upload attempt is initiated. The page refresh is necessary to initiate the upload.
  • Settings applied for a specific SCORM version are not appropriately distinguished.
  • The “Not found” text is displayed when a learner attempts to start a quiz with a due date in the past.
  • The Customize Default View setting does not apply to the Collections filter.
  • Saving the default view doesn’t work when creating a new custom report.
