Overview

In this release, we've added promotional banners to learner dashboards. It is now possible to display one or multiple banners that direct learners to key destinations like course collections, informational pages, or company (university) resources.

We've also continued enhancing our AI-driven features, further strengthening the foundation for AI-powered chat functionality.

What's new

Promotional banners for courses

For administrators

Users with appropriate permissions can create one or more promotional banners for the learner dashboard. These banners can link to course collections, informational pages, or company (university) resources. Administrators can set display dates and define the audience by selecting company units, user groups, or individuals.

For learners

Banners are displayed on the learner dashboard and open a new link when clicked. If multiple banners are available, learners can scroll using arrows or wait for automatic rotation every six seconds. To display banners, the widget must be enabled in the tenant, banner management must be active, and the learner must be part of the selected audience.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

Instructors, administrators, and learners can now easily share filtered catalog views. To do this, they need to apply filters on the My catalog page, copy the link from the address bar, and share it with others. When learners open the link, the catalog will display with the same filters already applied.

Fixes

We've resolved several issues to enhance the user experience:

  • Scheduling restrictions now apply correctly to items in child compositions.
  • No more duplicated text when pasting into the About the course page.
  • Open Catalog can now be accessed without unexpected login redirects.
  • Channel membership updates correctly when mini-group membership or enrollment changes.
  • Credly certificates no longer create false duplicates.
  • Vimeo activity publishing issues have been fixed.
  • The No collection filter is now hidden for users without access to courses not belonging to any collections.
  • Archived or expired compositions can no longer be published.
  • Selected filters are now saved correctly between sessions.
  • Courses from Open Catalog are correctly added to My courses.
  • Draft items can no longer be published as objectives.

Known issues

  • When instructors select Show answers when score is reached and Allow review for an assignment, the score is not shown, but the quiz feedback is.
  • The grace period is not applied to child compositions within other child compositions.
  • Sizes of attached files are shown only for newly-uploaded files.
  • A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.
  • New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
  • The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.
  • When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
  • External links to cover images cannot be edited.
  • Error 401 occurs after an upload of a SCORM package is canceled and the second upload attempt is initiated. The page refresh is necessary to initiate the upload.
  • Settings applied for a specific SCORM version are not appropriately distinguished.
  • The "Not found" text is displayed when a learner attempts to start a quiz with a due date in the past.
  • The Customize Default View setting does not apply to the Collections filter.
  • Saving the default view doesn't work when creating a new custom report.
