In this release, we enhanced proctoring configuration flexibility and Secure Browser settings to give instructors more control over proctored assessments.
We also continued internal development work on the new Compose authoring experience and Media block editor enhancements. This work supports our ongoing modernization of the authoring experience and will be delivered in future releases.
Instructors can now configure proctoring settings at multiple organizational levels, including Term, Group, Unit, and User, directly through the Scheduling interface. This replaces the previous model where proctoring settings were applied globally per activity.
When a learner starts an activity within a composition, the system automatically applies the appropriate proctoring settings based on the related scheduling constraints, using the same priority logic as other scheduling parameters.
Instructors now have granular control over Secure Browser settings for proctored assessments. They can select from three security levels (Basic, Medium, High) and configure video support options (Default, No video, No AI detection). Each option includes a clear description of the provided security level.
This allows instructors to match the security level to their specific assessment requirements.
A new proctoring setting allows instructors to enable or disable the use of an auxiliary camera for room scanning during proctored sessions.
