Release 114

Overview

In Release 114, we've introduced new settings for controlling quiz result visibility for learners, along with several key improvements, see:

Enhanced quiz result visibility controls for instructors

We’ve also made progress on learner dashboards and collaborative assignments, which will be available in future updates.

We’ve added new options to improve how Learn integrates with Assess, giving instructors enhanced control over when and how quiz results are revealed to learners. Instructors can now manage the visibility of scores and answers with options such as:

Never show: Learners are not able to view scores and their answers or quiz questions at any time.
Show after submission: Learners can view their scores, answers, and the quiz questions immediately after submitting the quiz. Reviewing answers is possible if the review option is enabled.
Show after results are revealed: Learners can view their answers and questions only when the results are revealed, either after a set date or when a specific score is reached. Reviewing answers is possible if the review option is enabled.

This improved integration gives instructors more control over score visibility and content review, whether they aim to prevent the sharing of exam details or encourage learners to revisit course materials before reattempting the quiz.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

We've made the following improvements:

Improved the timer functionality for timed exams to respect hard due times (grace period until) and added a timer for non-timed exams based on the hard due time.
Introduced a gallery widget for the Media block to allow content authors to add multiple images as a gallery that learners can scroll through.
Introduced backend support for group instructors, allowing users assigned as mini-group instructors to moderate group chats and view reports for users in their mini-groups.
Introduced a notice that displays unsupported browser in LMS to inform users that certain features may not function correctly.
Courses from the catalog can now be shared using the Share link copy option on the About the Course page.
We continue improving user experience for the My courses and Catalog pages by introducing an option to select multiple collections and filter courses from those collections only.

Fixes

We've made the following fixes:

Discussion results can now be revoked correctly.
Fixed issues where some courses could not be completed if there were several optional activities included.
The “invalid_request” error when opening some quizzes has been fixed.
An issue where a composite activity could not be started due to limited attempts has been investigated and resolved.
Issues with collections filters not being displayed in the Catalog have been fixed. We have also addressed an issue with search functionality when collections are enabled.

Known issues

Sizes of attached files are shown only for newly-uploaded files.
A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.
New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.
When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
External links to cover images cannot be edited.
Error 401 occurs after an upload of a SCORM package is canceled and the second upload attempt is initiated. The page refresh is necessary to initiate the upload.
Settings applied for a specific SCORM version are not appropriately distinguished.
The “Not found” text is displayed when a learner attempts to start a quiz with a due date in the past.
The Customize Default View setting does not apply to the Collections filter.
Saving the default view doesn’t work when creating a new custom report.
