Overview

In this release, we’ve introduced a basic integration between Groups and Learn, adding calendar support for group sessions. Scheduled sessions now can be accessed directly from the course and are synced to the calendar, which makes it easier for users to stay organized and never miss important activities.

We’ve also resolved several critical issues across the platform, including improved login error feedback, restored gradebook export functionality, and fixes to survey reports, media blocks, and various UI elements. These updates improve overall usability and platform reliability.

Improvements

Groups integration with Learn

We've introduced the first version of Groups integration with Learn, starting with enhanced calendar support for group sessions.

For learners, this integration:

  • Adds scheduled group activities with start and end times to the learner’s personal calendar.
  • Provides calendar events with direct links to join the group session.
  • Updates or removes calendar events automatically when activity dates change.
  • Shows only the activities relevant to the learner’s role and participation.

This integration helps learners stay organized and ensures they’re informed about important group events.

Additional group management capabilities will be added in future releases.

Fixes

We've made the following fixes to improve platform performance and stability:

  • Authentication and IDP:
    • Fixed a significant delay in error messages when incorrect login credentials were entered. Error feedback now appears instantly instead of after a ~45-second wait.
  • Gradebook:
    • Restored the ability to export gradebook values. The export now works correctly and handles error conditions properly.
  • Reports:
    • Fixed an issue in survey reports where answers were mapped to the wrong questions when downloading combined survey data. Answers now align correctly with their original questions.
  • Content and course management:
    • Fixed an issue where images imported via HTML in Media blocks were not displaying. Imported images now render correctly.
    • Corrected a typo in the Media block activity card text.
    • Fixed an issue where headers were not displayed when opening workflows from the attempts datagrid or the gradebook. Headers now appear correctly in all cases.
    • Fixed unique code validation for courses, which was incorrectly checking across all tenants. Validation is now limited to the current tenant.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented objective codes from being updated. Users can now update objective codes as needed.
  • API and backend:
    • Resolved an issue with the Sync Tool that affected teaching staff request handling, which ensures proper synchronization of teaching staff data.
