Release 91

Overview

In Release 91, we have introduced a number of new features and improvements to the existing ones:

• Configuring time zones for notifications
• Rich text editor enhancement
• Response time improvement
• Email notification templates enhancement

What's new

Configuring time zones for notifications

Users can now select a time zone in their profile to receive email notifications and other time-sensitive alerts according to this zone. This feature ensures users never miss a class, lecture, deadline, or exam.

Improvements and fixes

Rich Text editor enhancement

We’ve updated our Rich Text editor to the latest version to enhance its stability, improve the copy-and-paste functionality, and streamline the overall UI look and feel:

• The Toolbox became vertical.
• The Plus button is always shown.
• The Toolbox restores the internal scroll on every opening.
• The issue with scroll jumping on block hovering is fixed.
• The issue with the toolbox preventing text selection is fixed.
• The keyboard selection by word is improved.
• New toolbox icons were introduced.
• Pressing ENTER at the end of a block adds a new block.
• The problem was resolved with scrolling to the beginning of the document after moving a block above the viewport.
• The Delete key at the end of the Block now works opposite a Backspace at the start. It removed the next block (if empty) or merges it with the current one.
• The Delete key works as a Backspace when several blocks are selected.
• If we have two empty blocks and press Backspace at the beginning of the second one, the previous block is removed instead of the current.
• Tools shortcuts cannot be used anymore to convert one Block to another.
• These performance optimizations were made: the initialization speed increased, and Big documents are displayed faster.

Response time improvement

We have increased the response speed of pages reloading and other operations of the system.

Email notification templates enhancement

We have introduced a new way to store and process email templates for notifications. Now each tenant can have personalized and branded notification templates.

Fixes

• No error 500 when accessing Content libraries anymore.
• Completed courses now correctly open the About the course page with results.
• We introduced the name validation for domains and topics.
• Errors in uploading cover images were fixed.
• A bug was fixed in which Vimeo activities were not shown as active in the Table of content.
• The objective availability logic was fixed: now learners can continue or review a course that was started in the past and has the availability date also in the past.
• In Assessment, Score is now displayed in %.
• Navigation in Content Categories is fixed: now content creators are navigated back to the current category when opening or editing content elements, not the to the root.
• When editing the composition, all content libraries are properly displayed when selecting a Content category inside.
• Pages are now properly scrolled up when moving to the next session in a course or a program.
• SCORM (Interactive components) compatibility options defaults were fixed.
• Learners are forwarded to the “About the course” page with results after pressing Finish in a composition with several retake attempts.
• When impersonation is used, it is correctly saved in the audit log.
• If the user opens a course from My courses, the first unfinished section is shown.
• The breadcrumb navigation for courses (programs) and content libraries were improved. Programs now correctly show the address of the About the course page.

Known issues and limitations

• Sometimes after uploading a video in the Vimeo library, it is stuck and not processed.
• SCORM and interactive components don't work in Safari and future Chrome versions.
• Some Grid elements don’t work in User, Group, Unit, and Team management (maximize, group by, other).
• New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
• For personal enrolment (per user), Server error 500 occurs when trying to enroll 45 and more users in one batch.
• Incorrect values are shown for Number of reviews in the Proctoring results for a proctored activity.
• The Collection filter in reports is not displayed to Unit and Group Instructors.
• The date and time selector does not fit on the screen in reports.
• When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from the LMS.
• The external link to a cover image cannot be edited.
• When zooming in using the mouse wheel or touch bar in the PDF viewer, the first page of the file is shown, zoom value cannot be changed manually.
• Clicking on the Profile menu forwards a user to the management portal.
• Clicking on Rooms takes the user to the management portal.
