Release 113

Overview

In Release 113, we’ve improved the behavior of the Communications Hub during proctored exams and added the following feature:

• Communication between learners in mini-groups

Additionally, we are developing functionality that will allow administrators and instructors to assign instructors to mini-groups for group activities. Learners will also be able to complete and submit various types of group activities, including assignments. This functionality will be available in future releases.

What's new

Communication between learners in mini-groups

As part of the learner journey related to collaborative activities, learners can now chat and exchange links and files with their mini-group members and peers in a dedicated collaborative environment. A separate collaboration channel is automatically created for each mini-group assigned to complete a group assignment.

We’ve introduced the option to disable opening the chat when proctoring is enabled.

Fixes

We've implemented the following fixes:

• Fixed an issue where a learner could not access a class discussion activity after being enrolled into a course at a later stage.
• Fixed an issue where a reminder was not deleted when enrollment or the term was removed.
• Resolved an issue where a class discussion channel was not marked as read-only in some cases after the class discussion activity was forcibly finished by an instructor.
• Fixed an error returned by some SCORM files in newly set up tenants.
• Resolved an issue where certain LTI components did not load properly in some cases.
• Fixed an issue where mini-groups for collaborative activities did not display the list of learners correctly in some cases.
• Fixed the email notification layout issue affecting emails opened in Microsoft Outlook.
• Resolved an issue where announcement channels were not automatically created for new objectives (published courses).
• Fixed an issue where class discussion activities did not start properly for all learners in a team (mini-group) in some cases.
• Fixed an issue where the “Grading in progress” badge was not displayed on course tiles for some learners.
• Fixed minor layout issues where long course titles were not displayed correctly.
• Fixed minor UI issues and glitches.

Known issues

• Sizes of attached files are shown only for newly-uploaded files.
• A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.
• New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
• The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.
• When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
• External links to cover images cannot be edited.
• Error 401 occurs after an upload of a SCORM package is canceled and the second upload attempt is initiated. The page refresh is necessary to initiate the upload.
• Settings applied for a specific SCORM version are not appropriately distinguished.
• The “Not found” text is displayed when a learner attempts to start a quiz with a due date in the past.
• The Customize Default View setting does not apply to the Collections filter.
• Saving the default view doesn’t work when creating a new custom report.
