Overview

We’re introducing a powerful new feature in this release: automated Knowledge Model creation for every published course. This enables administrators to activate AI chat widgets, letting learners interact with course content using a conversational interface.

What's new

AI tutor

We’ve taken a big step forward in enhancing learning support with AI by introducing the following features:

• Automatic knowledge model creation: Every time a new course is published or existing course content is updated, its media block content (including attached handouts), compositions, and video transcripts are automatically added to the course’s knowledge model. This applies retroactively to all existing courses.
• AI-Powered chat widgets: Learners can now interact with course content through conversational AI widgets, making learning more engaging and accessible.
• Respect for course gates: The AI Tutor follows course progression rules. Learners can only chat about content once it becomes available to them, based on course conditions (for example, completing a prerequisite activity or waiting for a set period as defined in flow control settings).

Improvements and fixes

Improvements

This release also includes enhancements that improve usability, localization, and performance:

• Navigation menu: layout in the Management Portal has been improved. The Courses section is now placed at the top for quicker access by instructors and administrators.
• Localization: automated UI localization services are now in place for more efficient internationalization.
• Performance: various optimizations have been introduced to improve overall system responsiveness.

Fixes

We've made the following fixes:

• Resolved issues that prevented proctored quizzes from starting correctly.
• Fixed display issues for attached images in courses for tenants with multi-domain configurations.
• Ensured that assignments with due dates appear correctly in the Assignments overdue section after group enrollment.
• Corrected footer display for content libraries in the Composition Editor.
• Made sure the media block editor applies style changes to all selected text.
• Fixed the gallery component to function properly even when images are placed before or after it.
• Ensured image crop functionality now saves changes as expected.
• Removed "undefined" entries from the language picker.

Known issues

• AI Tutor is not supported for users who self-enroll in a course made available through the “Enroll everyone” rule.
• Some users still encounter a blank screen when starting a proctored exam.
• When a learner tries to finish a course that includes an unfinished optional activity with a score weight > 0, the Improve the course result popup does not appear.
• When instructors select Show answers when score is reached and Allow review for an assignment, the score is not shown, but the quiz feedback is.
• Clicking the browser’s Back button during login leads to an error page instead of logging the user out.
• The grace period is not applied to child compositions within other child compositions.
• Sizes of attached files are shown only for newly-uploaded files.
• A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.
• New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
• The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.
• When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
• External links to cover images cannot be edited.
• Error 401 occurs after an upload of a SCORM package is canceled and the second upload attempt is initiated. The page refresh is necessary to initiate the upload.
• Settings applied for a specific SCORM version are not appropriately distinguished.
• The "Not found" text is displayed when a learner attempts to start a quiz with a due date in the past.
• The Customize Default View setting does not apply to the Collections filter.
• Saving the default view doesn't work when creating a new custom report.
