Overview

In this release, we’ve continued expanding the Groups integration with Learn, now adding support for the Instructor flow. Instructors can launch and join Groups sessions directly from the LMS, and scheduled session details are automatically added to their calendars with direct access links.

We’ve also improved assessment and grading workflows with enhanced document previews and more streamlined bulk downloads. Additionally, H5P content now includes better navigation controls to make interactive materials easier for learners to use.

Improvements

We've made the following improvements to enhance the platform functionality and the overall user experience:

• Groups integration:
  • Expanded native Groups support in Learn to include the Instructor flow and enabled instructors to launch and join Groups sessions directly from the LMS.
  • Enabled automatic calendar events for course instructors, including direct join links for scheduled sessions.
• H5P content:
  • Added a close button to H5P iframes for learners, similar to SCORM, which makes exiting the activity and navigating back to the course content easier.
• Assessment and grading:
  • Instructors can now preview student submissions as PDFs directly in the grading interface, without downloading files. The supported formats include DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, TXT, and code files.
  • Bulk downloads now include learner names and UIDs in filenames (the format is [LearnerName][UID][AssignmentName].[ext]). This eliminates the need for manual renaming in peer review and grading workflows.

Fixes

We've made the following fixes to improve platform performance and stability:

• Groups integration:
  • Fixed an issue where the Edit in new tab button did not work for Groups activities.
  • Fixed an issue where Groups events were not displayed on the calendar for course instructors.
• Content libraries:
  • Fixed an error that occurred when opening SCORM content libraries.
• Enrollment and retakes:
  • Fixed an issue where the Available for retake in setting did not work correctly with standalone objectives.
  • Fixed a security issue that allowed users to bypass retake window restrictions by changing their local system time.
  • Fixed an issue where Group Enrollment was not working properly, preventing courses from appearing on the My Courses page.
• Learner experience:
  • Fixed an issue where completed Media Block activities became restricted after instructors set a future start date.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when learners tried to access assignment activity pages.
• Reports and certificates:
  • Fixed an error that occurred when opening Survey reports.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when accessing the Certificate templates page.
• UI and localization:
  • Fixed a capitalization issue on the Turnitin settings page.
  • Reduced the title size on course pages to improve readability based on user feedback.
• LTI and integrations:
  • Fixed a date handling issue in LTI integrations that caused incorrect date constraints to be passed to external tools.
  • Fixed an authentication error that occurred when trying to launch VR labs.
