Release 95

Overview

In Release 95, we've introduced a number of improvements to the existing features and the following new feature:

• Closing and rolling back learners’ attempts

What's new

Closing and rolling back learners’ attempts

Instructors can close specific unfinished attempts, especially when these attempts prevent the assignment from reaching completion and moving to the Finished state. They also can reset an assignment and revert it to its original state to allow learners to start afresh without using the previous attempts.

It's important to note that interactive components do not support the revoke feature.

Improvements and fixes

Assessments section enhancement

In the Assessments learning portal section, instructors now can filter unique data for all users, or data related to groups or units a user belongs to. This enables filtration by secondary units or groups. Instructors can select the desired option and use grouping in the grid to view all activities taken by users in particular groups or units. Only primary units for users are displayed by default, and duplicates are filtered out when a user belongs to more than one group or unit.

New text formatting options

Several new tools are now available to authors when creating new texts in the rich text editor of Media Blocks:

• Toggle option that enables hiding part of the text under a toggle switch.
• Text color for setting the color for text using a palette or the previously used color button.
• Text case options selection: all caps or all lower case; the ability to toggle between cases.
• Header anchors for quick navigation within long texts or even within different media blocks or compositions.

Fixes

• We resolved the following issues:
• Error 500 in reports when grouping items.
• Case where searching for a course after selecting a collection did not include courses outside the selected collection.
• Text overlapping in the Profile view during mobile usage.
• Improved the way how undo is working on non-Latin keyboard layouts.
• Cover images are no longer removed in compositions when updating the status.

Known issues

• A new toggle cannot be created within a toggle.
• Sometimes after uploading a video to the Vimeo library, it is stuck and is not processed.
• New members cannot be added to a newly created team without refreshing the screen.
• The date and time selector sometimes does not fit on the screen in Reports.
• When signing out from Avatar, a user is not signed out from LMS.
• External links to cover images cannot be edited.
• When zooming in using the mouse wheel or touch bar in the PDF viewer, the first page of the file is shown; the zoom value cannot be changed manually.
• SCORMs cannot be archived.
• Error 401 occurs after an upload of a SCORM package is cancelled and the second upload attempt is initiated. The page refresh is necessary to initiate the upload.
• Settings applied for a specific SCORM version are not appropriately distinguished.
• The “Not found” text is displayed when a learner attempts to start a quiz with a due date in the past.
• Text is incorrectly wrapped in tables in rich text.
• The Customize Default View setting does not apply to the Collections filter.
