Configuring proctored exams

Proctored exams are exams monitored either by proctors or using artificial intelligence (AI). The following proctoring modes are available:

• AI review — the Cyber Proctor AI tool monitors exam sessions for potential rule violations and generates alerts when violations are detected.
• Live review — a human proctor monitors exam sessions in real-time and can send notifications to learners if any violations are detected.
• Post-exam review — after the exam, a human proctor reviews each recorded session individually to check for rule violations.

You can add proctored exams in two ways:

• As separate activities — for example, a standalone quiz that exists outside the course structure Adding proctored exams as stand-alone activities.
• As proctored activities in courses — for example, an exam added as part of a course flow Adding exams into courses.
