How content is managed
Constructor LMS offers great flexibility when creating learning content and delivering it to learners. You create content components as reusable building blocks. Then you use those blocks to create separate learning activities, courses, or programs and assign them to learners. The process looks as follows:
- Preparing content:
- You create elementary content components, which can be used independently or combined into larger composite components.
- You set the status of individual content components (components that you want to be accessible for publishing and sharing with learners must be in the Ready status). See Managing composition statuses.
- Making content available to learners:
- You put together content components into a composition and publish the composition to make it available as an objective (ready to use course or program) for further learners' enrollment.
- You (or instructor) enroll learners in that objective to enable them to begin the learning process. At this step, the course or program becomes available to learners and, depending on the configuration, is displayed either on the My courses page or in the course Catalog.
See also Removing objectives from Catalog for the information on how to hide objectives from learners.
