Creating learning content
Constructor LMS has pre-configured resource libraries that store different types of content. You can reuse resources from such libraries across many courses without a need to create content from the beginning. See How content is managed for the introductory information on how it is handled.
Learning content resources can be grouped into libraries by the following criteria:
- Assignments that are type of task which require a longer learner's response in a free format submitted as a text or attached file. Assignments can be assigned individually or to a group of learners as a collaborative task.
- LTI-resources that are created with third-party applications and integrated into Constructor LMS as learning tools interoperability objects (for example, coding labs, Jupyter labs, and virtual labs).
- Online classes that represent plans of lessons that authors can add into courses as real-time online lessons scheduled at a particular time and date.
- Media blocks created with the advanced rich text editor functionality of Constructor LMS.
- STEM that are resources in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
- Compositions that are structures of various content elements and even other compositions put together in a logical learning content unit: a course module or lesson, course, or program.
- Quizzes that are used to partially or fully automate the assessment of learners' assignments.
- Interactive components based on SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) that are used to integrate content created in third-party platforms.
- Vimeo that are videos created with the Vimeo service.
- Discussions that are used to add group discussions as course activities.
To conveniently organize learning content in the libraries, you can group content components by categories. See Grouping content components by categories.
