Creating surveys

In Constructor Learn, a survey is a post-course questionnaire that is offered to learners to collect their feedback on the course.

To create a survey:

  1. In the LMS management portal, click in the upper-left corner.
  2. Go to Authoring > Surveys.
  3. Click the plus button .
  4. Specify this parameter:
  • Title — specify the survey title.
  1. Click Create.
  2. Click the plus button  to open the context menu and add the survey content. If necessary, you can add a text block for the quiz introduction.
  3. Click Add new question.
InformationFor your convenience, you can also use pre-created questions or a question pool.
  1. Specify these parameters:
  • Title — the title of the survey question.
  • Type — the question type:
    • Free format response — a learner enters a long text or attaches a file.
    • Likert scale —  a learner selects an option from a range of values (typically between two extremes, like "Strongly disagree" to "Strongly agree") to measure attitudes or opinions.
    • Multiple answer — a learner selects more than one correct option from a list of given answers.
    • Multiple choice — a learner selects one correct option from a list of given answers.
    • Rating — a learner selects a numerical value (for example, 1 to 10) to indicate their level of satisfaction or agreement, with the extremes representing opposite ends, such as "Very unsatisfied" to "Very satisfied."
  1. Click Create.
  2. In the Question field, enter the question. Specify the other question parameters depending on the question type.
  3. Click Save. Repeat steps 6–10 to add all content of the survey.
  4. Switch to the survey settings tab .
  5. Specify the following parameters:
  • Anonymous survey — select to hide identities of survey takers.
  • Shuffle questions — select to change the order of questions every time a learner starts the survey.
  • Shuffle options in questions — select to randomize the order of answer options in all questions of the survey each time a learner starts the survey.
  • Shuffle sections — select to randomize the order of all sections of the survey each time a learner starts the survey.
  • Show hints — select to enable showing hints.
  • Show section names to learners — select to enable displaying the names of sections in the survey to learners
  1. Click Save.
