Creating a composition
To create a composition:
- In the LMS management portal, click
in the upper-left corner.
- Go to Authoring > Content libraries.
- Click Compositions. A list of existing compositions will be displayed.
- Click the plus sign

- Specify the properties of the composition you are adding:
- Title— the component title.
- Unique Code or ID — the identifier of the component to ease the search in the future.
- Description — a short description of the component.
- Duration — estimated time for learners to complete the composition.
- Cover image — upload the composition cover image or specify its URL.
- Categories — If needed, add categories to filter and organize this composition hierarchically in the course catalog. See Adding content categories to compositions.
- Status — the current status of the composition, Draft if you plan to edit it later or Ready if the composition is ready for publishing.
- Click the arrow to expand the settings and select the necessary settings:
- Supports mobile view — to enable rendering the content for mobile devices screens.
- Supports review after completion— to enable learners to review the objective after submitting it.
- Requires manual grading— to require the objective checking and grading by an instructor.
- Supports LTI authoring — to enable using LTI components in the objective.
- Supports full screen — to enable rendering the content for full screens.
- Click Save and go to the content editor.
- In the editor, start building your course by dragging and dropping components from the content libraries in the order they should go in the course.
Open the necessary library.

Select a component and drag it to the left.

If necessary, you can make changes to this particular instance of the component that you use in the course.
- Proceed with adding components until the course is created.
- To preview your course, click the eye sign
in the upper-right corner of the editor screen.

When you complete the course creation, you can publish it.
You can also create a multi-level course structure by adding sub-activities to compositions.
